United States Second Circuit

US v. Sierra, 15-2220

Affirmed. Defendant-appellants argued their mandatory minimum life sentences for murder in aid of racketeering constituted cruel and unusual punishment because they were between the ages of 18-22 at the time of the crime. Finding their argument was foreclosed by Supreme Court precedent, the court affirmed.
