United States Second Circuit
US v Santillan, 16-1112
Affirmed. Defendant was convicted of conspiracy to distribute illegal drugs. He brought this appeal challenging the denial of his motion to suppress physical evidence based on issues with the stop and search. The court concluded that the police officer had reasonable suspicion to extend the stop and, although some evidence was improperly seized during a frisk, it would have been inevitably discovered and suppression was not warranted.
