United States Second Circuit

US v. Alston, 17‐2405

Affirmed the conviction and sentence of a former New York City police officer for conspiring to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine and possessing a firearm in furtherance of that offense. The defendant, who aided his childhood friend's drug-dealing operation, raised numerous substantive and procedural challenges to his conviction and 20-year prison sentence, but they were rejected by the Second Circuit.
