United States Second Circuit
US v. Sampson, 17‐343
Affirmed a conviction of obstruction of justice and making false statements to federal agents. A former New York state senator, who had been charged in a separate proceeding with taking bribes in connection with his work as a foreclosure referee, challenged his convictions of obstruction of justice and making false statements. Concluding that none of his numerous legal and factual arguments were meritorious, the Second Circuit affirmed the conviction.
