Tanvir v. Tanzin, 16-1176

Reverse and remand. Plaintiff claims that in retaliation for Plaintiffs refusal to serve as informants they were placed on the No-Fly List in violation of the First Amendment and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA). The district court held that the RFRA does not permit recovery of money damages against federal officers in their individual capacities. The 2nd Circuit held that the RFRA does permit such recovery and reversed and remanded the decision.
