US v. Jones, 16-87

Affirmed Defendant’s criminal conviction. Defendant appealed from his conviction for cocaine related charges and firearm possession charges. Defendant argued that his conviction should be vacated because he believed motions to suppress had been denied in error; witnesses were improperly allowed to testify; jury instructions had been in error; and sentencing had improperly been enhanced by an obstruction of justice charge. The appellate court affirmed the conviction and the sentencing stating that the trial court did not err in refusing to suppress evidence because the warrantless search was supported by probable cause.
