United States Second Circuit

US v. Edwards, 15-741

Revocation of supervised release for a 2010 drug conviction, based on violations formally charged after the scheduled expiration date of supervision, is affirmed where: 1) the district court retained jurisdiction when the violations at issue pertained to matters closely related to the triggering violation and there is no due process concern about defendant having adequate notice and opportunity to be heard on the matter; and 2) there was sufficient evidence to find that defendant violated supervised release by committing new crimes related to drug trafficking.
