In in a wrongful imprisonment action following his exoneration in a case that had come to be known as the 'Central Park Jogger' case, a law firm's motion to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction the appeal by the former law firm of a motion for attorney's fees, the motion is denied where the consent of the former law firm as counsel or former counsel was not required because: 1) 28 U.S.C. section 636(c)'s consent requirement applies to parties; and 2) the parties in this case had given the requisite consent.
