United States Second Circuit
Leeward Construction Co. v. American University of Antigua, 13-1708
In a dispute arising out of an agreement to build a medical school, which proceeded to arbitration, the District Court's confirmation of an arbitration award in favor of plaintiff is affirmed where: 1) an arbitration decision need not contain a line‐by-line analysis of damages awarded to be considered a reasoned award; and 2) an arbitration award is a reasoned award when it contains a substantive discussion of the panel's rationale.
