United States Second Circuit
Bernstein v. Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP, 15-374
In an employment action, arising from plaintiff partner’s resignation from his own law firm and subsequent suit, settled out of court, the district court’s denial of both parties’ request to permanently seal the complaint is affirmed where the complaint is a judicial document subject to the First Amendment’s presumption of public access, the common-law right of access, and sealing is not necessary to protect confidential client communications.
