Uzoukwu v. Krawiecki, 13-3483
In a 42 U.S.C. section 1983 action alleging false arrest and excessive force by defendant police officers, the district court's judgment entering the jury's verdict for defendants is vacated and the case is remanded for a new trial where the district court's response to a jury note during deliberations mischaracterized New York law on the obstruction of governmental business and that mischaracterization was prejudicial.
