United States Second Circuit

Vanegas-Ramirez v. Holder, 13-749-ag

Petition for review of a decision by the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) substantially affirming the Immigration Judge’s decisions denying petitioner’s motion to suppress evidence and terminate removal proceedings, and denying his asylum application, withholding of removal, and protection under the Convention Against Torture is denied, where: 1) because petitioner voluntarily conceded his removability in a motion to change venue, the BIA did not err in denying the suppression motion; and 2) petitioner’s testimony was insufficient to establish a well-founded fear of persecution for purposes of asylum.
