United States Second Circuit
Cayuga Indian Nation of New York v. Seneca County, 12-3723
The district court's order preliminarily enjoining defendant-county from foreclosing upon certain parcels of the plaintiff Indian Nation's real property to satisfy unpaid ad valorem property taxes is affirmed, where in light of recent Supreme Court guidance, tribal sovereign immunity from suit bars defendant-county's proceedings against the plaintiff.
