In re World Trade Center Disaster, 11-4021

In consolidated appeals, the district court's orders issued with respect to the settlement of personal injury claims brought by individuals participating in rescue, recovery, and clean‐up operations at the World Trade Center site following the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 are: 1) vacated in part and remanded, with respect to the Bonus Payment; 2) reversed as to the order regarding the Contingent Payment; and 3) affirmed as to the order denying a contingency attorneys' fee as to the Bonus Payment. The appeal from the order denying a contingency attorneys' fee as to the first Contingent Payment is dismissed as moot.
