United States Second Circuit
Tandon v. Ulbrick, 13-461
Dismissal of an action brought by petitioner-boat owners to limit their liability for damages that resulted when visitors to their vessel were involved in a fistfight on floating dock is affirmed, where federal admiralty jurisdiction does not extend to tort claims arising from a physical altercation among recreational visitors on and around a permanent dock surrounded by navigable water, because such an altercation does not have a potentially disruptive effect on maritime commerce.
