United States Second Circuit

US v. Hakimi, 11-5364

The district court's order granting defendant's motion for a judgment of acquittal pursuant is reversed and remanded, where the record contains sufficient evidence from which a rational fact-finder could find that the government proved the elements of the crimes charged, and in particular, that the totality of the evidence supports the jury’s inference of defendant's knowledge that the package he was poised to receive from a co-conspirator contained illegal drugs.
