United States Second Circuit

Licci ex rel. Licci v. Lebanese Canadian Bank, SAL, 10‐1306

Plaintiffs' motion for the Court to permit them to file a petition for rehearing at this time despite the fact that a judgment had yet to issue in this appeal is granted only insofar as it regards the filing of a petition for panel rehearing, and the petition for rehearing is denied, because under Schultz, it is the place of the allegedly wrongful conduct that generally has superior interests in protecting the reasonable expectations of the parties who relied on the laws of that place to govern their primary conduct and in the admonitory effect that applying its law will have on similar conduct in the future.
