In a suit brought by former inmates against the City of New York and various officials, alleging that their due process rights were violated when they were imprisoned for periods of time longer than their judicially imposed sentences, district court's dismissal of plaintiffs' consolidated 42 U.S.C. section 1983 actions against some of the defendants and award of summary judgment to the remaining defendants is affirmed, as regardless of whether plaintiffs' due process rights were violated, defendants are entitled to qualified immunity for the conduct in question.
