United States Second Circuit
Jones v. Town of East Haven, 10-4731
In plaintiff's suit against a town brought under 42 U.S.C. section 1983, for the killing of her son by a police officer, alleging numerous claims, including that the town's custom, policy or usage of deliberate indifference to the rights of black people caused the killing of her son, district court's judgment awarding damages to the plaintiff is reversed and remanded, as plaintiff's evidence was insufficient to prove municipal liability under the standard of Monell v. Dept. of Social Serv.
