United States Second Circuit

Elfgeeh v. US, 10-4498

Denial of a petition for habeas corpus is affirmed, where the appellant's representation was not per se ineffective under the Sixth Amendment, as he had a licensed attorney of record who signed all relevant papers and made all relevant court appearances, even though a disbarred attorney acted as his de facto counsel during the withdrawal of his plea agreement and other pre-trial proceedings.
