In a prosecution for aggravated identity theft and making false statements, convictions and sentence are affirmed, where: 1) the convictions for making false statements were supported by sufficient evidence, as the statements were material; 2) the judge’s pre-trial rulings regarding suppression of statements made during a safety-valve proffer and the propriety of joinder were not error; and 3) the defendant's sentence was both procedurally and substantively reasonable.
