US v. Bourke, 09-4704

Convictions for conspiracy to violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the Travel Act and of making false statements in a scheme to illegally purchase a state-owned oil company by bribing the president of Azerbaijan and other officials are affirmed where: 1) jury instructions were proper; 2) there was no abuse of discretion in evidentiary rulings; and 3) there was sufficient evidence to support the conviction for making false statements.
