United States Second Circuit

Silge v. Merz, 06-0629

Denial of prejudgment interest to plaintiff after he secured a default judgment is affirmed as the district court correctly applied Rule 54(c) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure in not allowing such recovery to the extent it would result in an award exceeding the amount prayed for in the demand clause.
