Ehrenfeld v. Mahfouz, 06-2228

In declaratory relief action seeking declaration that defendant Saudi citizen could not prevail on a libel claim against plaintiff author under New York law, and that the libel judgment in England is not enforceable in the U.S., the following question is certified to the New York Court of Appeals: Does section 302(a)(1) of New York's long-arm statute confer personal jurisdiction over the defendant?
