United States Second Circuit

An $80 million order of restitution imposed under the Mandatory Victim Restitution Act(MVRA), 18 U.S.C. section 3663A, against a defendant convicted of racketeering in connection with securities fraud schemes, is vacated where the methods employed in the restitution calculation were not in accordance with the procedures set forth in the MVRA.
