United States First Circuit

Lassend v. US, 17-1900

Affirmed the denial of habeas relief to a defendant who challenged his sentence under the Armed Career Criminal Act (ACCA). The defendant argued that his designation as an armed career criminal was unconstitutional under recent Supreme Court precedent, but the First Circuit disagreed, holding that current law still considers three of his convictions to be ACCA predicates.
