United States First Circuit
Doe v. Brown University , 17-1941
Affirmed the dismissal of a Title IX claim alleging that a university failed to take appropriate disciplinary action against three students who had committed an on-campus sexual assault against a visiting student from another university. When the perpetrators' university did not initiate any disciplinary action against the three students, the victim sought damages and equitable relief against that university. However, in affirming the dismissal, the First Circuit held that her complaint did not allege a plausible Title IX claim.
