United States First Circuit
US v. Llanos-Falero, 15-1070
Sentence for guilty plea to bank robbery, 18 U.S.C. sections 2113(a), 2113(d) and 2, and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, sections 924(c)(1)(A)(ii) and 2, ordered to run consecutively with defendant's sentences for Puerto Rico law convictions for domestic assault and illegal possession of a submachine gun, is affirmed over defendant's meritless claims that the sentencing judge failed to make the proper inquiry into the effects of defendant's medication on his competence to enter a plea, that the sentencing judge failed to warn defendant before accepting his plea that his federal sentence might be imposed consecutively with his Puerto Rico sentences, and that the consecutively imposed federal sentence is unreasonable
