United States First Circuit

Vega-Ayala v. Lynch, 15-2114

In an El Salvador native's petition for review of the Board of Immigration Appeals' (BIA) affirmance of an immigration judge's (IJ) denial of her application for asylum and withholding of removal, the petition is denied where, for purposes of her fear of future persecution claim on account of her membership in a particular social group, petitioner failed to establish that her proposed social group shares immutable characteristics and has social distinction.
