United States First Circuit

Villafranca v. Holder, 14-1881

Petition for review of a final order of the Board of Immigrant Appeals (BIA) denying petitioner's application for asylum, withholding of removal, and protection under the United Nations Convention Against Torture (CAT), is denied where the BIA was on supportable ground in viewing petitioner's attack as a solitary event that did not amount to persecution, the claim for withholding of removal also necessarily fails, and the CAT claim has not been preserved.
