United States First Circuit

US v. Bowles, 13-1575

Defendant's conviction after jury trial on five counts of theft of government funds is affirmed, where: 1) any error in the district court's denial of defense counsel's peremptory challenge of a juror was harmless; 2) the district court did not err by admitting into evidence photocopies of the annuity checks that were deposited into defendant's bank account; 3) the district court did not abuse its discretion by admitting into evidence a copy of a Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles record of information about defendant's driver's license; and 4) the district court did not err in denying defendant's post-trial motion for a judgment of acquittal.
