United States First Circuit
Magraw v. Roden, 13-1483
The district court properly denied petitioner's habeas corpus claim challenging his conviction and life sentence for second-degree murder, where the state court: 1) reasonably found that the evidence was sufficient to support a finding that the victim met her death through strangulation and that petitioner was the killer; 2) reasonably declined to find a due process violation based on the unavailability of the victim's larynx; and 3) reasonably refused to vacate petitioner's conviction on the basis of prosecutorial misconduct.
