United States First Circuit

US v. King, 12-2047

Defendant's sentence of 72 months for possessing a computer that held child pornography is affirmed, where: 1) defendant has not preserved any claim of procedural error; and 2) the district court examined the totality of the circumstances, appropriately treated the various guideline provisions as rough proxies, fashioned a sentence that responded to the nature and circumstances of the offense, and gave a plausible reason for the sentence.
