United States First Circuit
Cantarero v. Holder, 12-1624
The Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) properly denied petitioner's application for asylum, withholding of removal, and protection under the Convention Against Torture, where: 1) the BIA was reasonable in determining that petitioner's prior affiliation with a street gang did not constitute a "particular social group;" and 2) the BIA did not err in finding that petitioner presented insufficient evidence that he would more likely than not be tortured at the hands of the Salvadoran government.
