United States First Circuit
Bower v. EgyptAir Airlines Company, 12-1427
Summary judgment for defendant-airlines on plaintiff's claims that defendant interfered with his custodial relations and was negligent in allowing his former wife to board a flight despite the alleged presence of "red flags" suggesting that she was abducting their two children, is affirmed, where: 1) the district court had jurisdiction over the claims; but 2) plaintiff's claims sufficiently relate to the service of an air carrier and are therefore preempted by the Airline Deregulation Act.
