United States First Circuit
Lin v. Holder, 12-2271
Petition for review of the Board of Immigration (BIA)'s decision denying petitioner asylum is denied, where: 1) the BIA did not err in reversing the Immigration Judge's grant of asylum based on the finding that petitioner had not established with certainty that she would be forced to undergo IUD implantation; 2) substantial evidence supported the BIA's conclusion that petitioner's speculative fear of future persecution based on possible additional births in China was not sufficient for her to establish a well-founded fear, as required for a grant of asylum; and 3) as such, her claim for withholding of removal also fails.
