United States First Circuit
Pearson v. Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, 12-1956
Summary judgment for defendant-employer on plaintiff's claims of employment discrimination and retaliation, is affirmed, where: 1) plaintiff has not shown a material dispute of fact as to pretext, and thus the district court did not err in rejecting plaintiff's claim that racial discrimination motivated his firing; and 2) on the retaliation claim, the district court correctly held that there was no causal link between plaintiff's letter to the Senator and his termination.
