United States First Circuit
US v. Rogers, 12-1639
Conviction of possessing child pornography and award of restitution to the victim depicted in the pornography are affirmed, where: 1) the evidence amply established that defendant possessed and used the laptop, and supported the reasonable inference that he was the one who searched for and knowingly downloaded the child pornography; and 2) the district court did not abuse its discretion in making the restitution award.
