United States First Circuit
US v. Palmquist, 11-2371
Defendant's conviction of fraud in connection with his own receipt of veterans benefits and sentence are affirmed, where: 1) the district court properly concluded that defendant's statements were not coerced and correctly denied defendant's motion to suppress; and 2) there is no support for defendant's claim that his alleged entitlement to benefits, for which he never timely filed, could be used as an offset to the restitutionary obligation.
