United States First Circuit

US v. Sparks, 11-1134

The district court properly denied defendants' motion to suppress evidence that tied defendants to a bank robbery which was gained as a result of federal agents placing a GPS tracker on defendants' vehicle without a warrant, where even if the agents' use of the GPS tracker in this case was unconstitutional, their conduct fits within the good-faith exception to the exclusionary rule because at the time, settled, binding precedent authorized the agents' conduct.
