United States First Circuit
Aly v. Mohegan Council, Boys Scouts, 12-1292
Judgment for plaintiff in employment discrimination suit alleging plaintiff was denied career advancement opportunities on account of his religion and national origin is affirmed, where: 1) the district court did not err in finding plaintiff's administrative complaint timely; 2) defendant met the threshold number of employees to constitute an "employer" for Title VII purposes; and 3) on the merits, the district court correctly concluded that defendant did not meet its burden in showing that the evidence in the record, taken in the light most favorable to plaintiff, is so overwhelmingly inconsistent with the verdict that no reasonable jury could come to the same conclusion.
