United States First Circuit

Bluetarp Financial, Inc. v. Matrix Construction Co., Inc., 12-1338

Judgment dismissing plaintiff-credit lender's breach of contract and unjust enrichment claim involving dispute over payments for construction supplies pursuant to a commercial credit agreement, is reversed, where the district court has personal specific jurisdiction over the defendant-construction company because: 1) this cause of action arises out of defendant's Maine contacts; 2) defendant's contacts with Maine were not random, isolated or fortuitous and thus the purposeful availment factor is met; and 3) exercise of jurisdiction over this matter is reasonable.
