United States First Circuit

US v. Djokich, 10-2294

Defendant's convictions for conspiracy to commit kidnapping and conspiracy to use interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder for hire, are affirmed where: 1) with regard to defendant's claim that the government manufactured federal jurisdiction by taking purposeful steps to ensure that the crimes were moved from the Bahamas to the United States, without evidence that defendant was coerced or unduly induced, or evidence that the government engaged in some other type of outrageous misconduct, district court was correct in denying defendant's motion to dismiss; and 2) district court did not err in refusing to give defendant's proposed jurisdictional entrapment jury instruction.
