United States First Circuit
Lobo v. Holder, 11-1640
Petition for review of a final order of removal issued by the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) denying applications for asylum, withholding of removal, and protection under Article III of the United Nations Convention Against Torture (CAT), is denied where: 1) petitioner cannot independently establish that he has a well-founded fear of future persecution; and 2) the withholding of removal claim thus falls by the wayside because the court upholds the agency's denial of petitioner's asylum claim.
