United States First Circuit

US v. Rodriguez, 10-1984

Conviction of the defendant for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition is affirmed, where: 1) the defendant's ineffective assistance of counsel claim failed, because he did not show that his trial counsel performed deficiently; 2) the defendant's Confrontation Clause argument was so poorly presented it was deemed waived; and 3) after a Bible was found in the jury deliberation room, the district court's denial of the defendant's motion for a new trial and its refusal to conduct an individual voir dire of each juror was not an abuse of discretion.
