Garcia Monagas v. Garcia-Ramirez de Arellano, 09-1460
In litigation involving an intra-family dispute over inherited property in Puerto Rico, the district court's dismissal on res judicata grounds is affirmed, where: 1) as a result of one or more of previous actions, each of the appellants' claims was precluded by one or both of the doctrines of claim preclusion and issue preclusion; and 2) none of the exceptions to the doctrine of res judicata applied.
