United States First Circuit
Katz v. Pershing, LLC, 11-1983
In a suit in which the owner of a brokerage account alleged that the owner of an Internet-based platform, that gives subscribing financial organizations an interface for obtaining research and managing brokerage accounts, failed to protect sensitive nonpublic personal information, the district court's dismissal for lack of standing is affirmed, where the plaintiff had no Article III standing for her common-law contract claims or consumer-protection claims.
