In an appeal from a judgment of the district court denying defendants' Section 2255 petition for relief from their joint convictions for drug-related offenses, conviction and sentencing is: 1) affirmed in part where defendants' Sixth Amendment rights to a public trial were not violated by a partial courtroom closure during jury selection and no improper delegation of Article III authority occurred because issues regarding the the courtroom closure were determined by the clerk rather than by the judge; but 2) vacated in part where the first defendant, represented by counsel, was not permitted to attend the Section 2255 hearing, and the second was neither permitted to attend nor provided with appointed counsel.
