United States First Circuit

Mendes v. Brady, 09-2021

In an appeal from a judgment of the district court denying petitioner's application for habeas relief from his conviction of the first-degree murder of this former wife, judgment is affirmed where the district court did not abuse its discretion in applying the new-and-substantial rule to petitioner's claim of ineffective assistance of counsel.
