United States First Circuit
US v. Goncalves, 10-1367
Conviction and sentencing of defendant on drug and gun related charges is upheld where conviction is supported by sufficient evidence, and the district court properly denied motion to suppress because there was probable cause to believe that evidence of drug dealing would be found in a car which police knew defendant used regularly, without the application of the driveway exception articulated in Coolidge v. New Hampshire since defendant tried to flee with the car, was chased into a driveway, and then abandoned the car in a driveway.
